The page 123 meme
Something simple to ease myself back into blogging after my wee break (thank you Kimbofo).
The instructions are as follows:
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fifth sentence.
3. Post the text of the next three sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the book and the author.
5. Tag three people.
So:
1. I am at my desk surrounded by dictionaries and non-fiction classical works so I'll pick the most accessible text.
2. Sorted.
3. "It is the overture to a tragedy that the explorer would not have foreseen. His ship, the Endeavour, was making its way along the east cost of Australia. Putting shore for fresh water and supplies, Cook tried to make friends with some Aboriginal people who came to see what was going on."
4. How Art Made the World by Nigel Spivey
5. If the 3 people who read this blog want to give the meme a go I'll happily swing by to read their 123s.
